Flavor Your Water

Once upon a time, I worked at an upscale day spa. It was a gorgeous relaxation facility with all sorts of estheticians, massage therapists, nail techs, hair stylists and lavish beauty products. As I possess none of those professional skills, I was a part of guest services. And the best thing I took with me when I left (since I couldn’t take any people) was the tips on flavor-infused waters.Β We would select a different water filled with freshly prepared fruits, and occasionally vegetables, daily to serve in the lounging area. Of course they could be as well known as lemon-lime, containing vibrant round slices of green and yellow, but my favorites were the simple and oh-so refreshing cucumber water and the watermelon water with pureΒ pink cubes of sweetness.

Lately I’ve been seeing so many more creative blends. What a great presentation they make when entertaining guests, and how fun to come up with flavors that complement your meal! As an added bonus, you can feel good about serving your loved ones a flavorful option that doesn’t include any added refined sugar, artificial flavors or colors. That is so nice of you!

  1. These all look so good! I’ve been wanting to put mint in more things too, it’s supposed to be very good for us:) Thanks for all the great flavor suggestions!

    1. They’re just so easy too! One of my favorites really is just cucumber water- just slices of cucumber. Everyone’s got extra cukes in the summer, and it really is refreshing. I’ve never tried basil or mint, I’m really excited about that!

  2. Thank you so much for sharing this!! I recently purchased one of those infused water bottles and haven’t tried anything but putting lemons in the infuser. So many great tips!

  3. Sadie, I drink a cup of green tea with caffeine every day (no coffee) to wake up. Then I switch to a fruit-flavored herbal tea in a heat-proof tumbler. Once I drink my heated up fruit tea, I leave the bag in the cup then add water and ice and just refill it as needed throughout the day for a fruit-flavored water! I’ve been doing that for about three years now. Of course, a fresh fruit water would be much better! πŸ™‚

  4. You turned me on to cucumber water a few years ago, at one of your many brilliantly hosted gatherings to celebrate something or another. The surprise of how refreshing and delicious it was has stuck with me πŸ™‚

  5. So pretty and the video makes me so thirsty for water (which is perfect for my goals;)… I will make one of these beauties this Sunday!
