Loving Lately: Fresh Blogging Inspiration

I don’t know what it is exactly. Maybe it’s the drop in temperature? Maybe it’s buying all of those exciting school supplies? I’ve always had a thing for stationery. It probably has a lot to do with all of the fall themed recipes that are making their annual debut on the Internet; pumpkin lattes and donuts, Yum! Whatever it is, I feel it. I’m ready for self-enrichment and self-improvement. I want to take a writing class. I’ve ordered books and I’m scouring the Internet for tips on food photography. I am humbled and proud to say I finally know the definition of aperture and shutter speed. (I’m a little surprised with my lack of knowledge that my blog has any photos at all.) I’m ready to give her an overhaul! (Can I refer to my blog is of her? I mean it in the most empowering way. Like you would a ship or a storm; as in she is my vessel and a force -my exercised voice.) Apologies for the sidenote/monologue. The point is I am inspired. I’ve got some ideas… And it feels good!

  1. Love it when that inspiration arrives. And..I also love school supplies…Office supply stores are my favorite place. (over-developed sense of organization, I guess ).

  2. The change in seasons is always inspiring, new beginnings, the promise of fresh hope. Good luck, and yes I think you can very much refer to your blog as “her”!

  3. My Aunt used to say the cusp of seasons was the brink of newness …. Sounds to me like that newness is percolating inspiration nicely chez vous 😊

  4. Sadie, this was super entertaining to read! I can’t wait to see what creative endeavors you take on. I love that you refer to your blog as a her. I always tell my husband, “I’m gonna spend time with my baby now!” talking about the blog. Glad I’m not alone in the personification 😉 Hehe.

  5. This is great! It is so important to do something or learn something just for the fun of it. I find that dedicating time for this makes my obligations much easier to fulfill. I am happy for you and yes, and looking forward to finding out what you learn!

  6. After I had my blog for a year or so, I realized how lame my food photography was after following some amazing food blogs. So I signed up for a community college course on how to operate my DSLR manually instead of automatic mode, then bought another tutorial book specifically for my camera. (The owner’s manuals are impossible to decipher!) I still have a long way to go, but I do know it’s improved vastly. I am so glad you found the inspiration to keep plugging along, as I certainly would miss you if you gave up your blog! xoxo

    1. Those are a couple of great tips! Specific to my camera… Why didn’t I think of that! You’re right about the manual, what a drag! Thank you KR 😊

  7. Oooh lala! I’m so excited to see what you have in store for “her”-and as always looking forward to more of your recipes 😊 I’ve tried quite a few of them, and they’be all been excellent. Keep ’em coming!
