Loving Lately ❤

Loving Lately: Life

I’m not gonna lie, lately I’ve been distracted. I’ve been making dinners and not taking pictures. I’ve hardly done any blog reading. I’m day 4 into a 21 day fix eating/workout challenge, and my out-of-shape self is really sore!

All of the kids (okay 3 out of four) have started their sport programs. (Between that and church, there are my weekends.)

I’ve redecorated my downstairs bathroom, and around my fireplace. My “country cottage” look is finally taking shape! (I can’t wait to tackle the kitchen.)

The yard is screaming for some attention. Thankfully that is not my yard in the picture. But spring has sprung and a couple of my flower beds have (almost) as many dandelions!

You know that saying “there just aren’t enough hours in the day,” it’s true- at least concerning all of the warm weather outdoor play time.

  1. Your fireplace looks beautiful! I feel you about the not enough hours in the day! It’s a busy time, can’t wait for long summer days!

  2. Hi Sadie, although I don’t think I’m as busy as you (take this as a compliment because I admire how much you are able to fit in one day!), I know what it means to kinda feel guilty because you think that you’re not posting regularly on the blog. Please don’t be. It’s hard I know but sometimes it has to be placed on the back burner. That shows that you’ve got your priorities right. I find that regular readers have the patience to wait and they always understand that life happens. Be kind to yourself. Your family is just gorgeous! And well done on your redecoration progress!

  3. I was telling my hubby yesterday, that I need more hours in a day! so I fully understand where you are coming from.
Your pics are lovely and your fireplace is divine. Things are happening 🙂
How are you enjoying your eating and fitness challenge?

    1. You’re so kind! ? I’m sure we all could use a few more hours! Thus far, the challenge is going well. It’s a lot of clean eating, no refined sugar’s, no butter, whole grains… It is encouraging me to eat more vegetables, and I have to say I do feel better and have more energy even in this short amount of time. Next year I’ll be 40, and I have a one-year-old. (He will be two this year.) I’m trying to be responsible, and I feel good about that. Thanks Lynne 🙂

  4. Your fireplace looks beautiful!! I can’t wait to see the rest of the house? I forgot you started that tough diet this week! How is it, do you like it? I need to start eating healthy again, I sort of gave up these last couple weeks!!

      1. Wonderful! It always feels good to have more energy:) I’m sure you will see those results soon! I guess we’ll have to have a carrot cake for your birthday celebration…minus the cake ? Lol

  5. What sweet photos! Loving the fireplace decor! And I think it’s great that you’ve been distracted. Sometimes when I get so caught up with things in life it just means that I’m living in the moment!

  6. Love the fireplace Sadie, and the kids are adorable! I am glad you are staying busy and life is treating you well. Happy day my friend. 🙂

  7. I know what you mean by not being motivated to take pictures for a blog post. Sometimes it’s just all I can do to get dinner on the table at a reasonable hour and don’t want to mess with food styling and photos. Believe me, I’ve taken many a breaks over the past five years and my readers have stuck around, for the most part. Sooooo, enjoy your Summer, right? p.s. what I do in the busy summer is sometimes do a post of “Top Viewed Recipes” for the year, or maybe a post that lists or links to all the food I made on a camping trip, stuff like that. 🙂

  8. Such a great post and wonderful pictures, Sadie! Looks like you’re enjoying spring to the fullest, and that is definitely something to love! 😀

  9. I am sure you are so busy! I am glad to see you here dear! Love the fireplace and the pictures of the kids! You are doing a great job with everything! xxx
