Loving Lately: The Winds of Change

So, I took some more time off. I put the blogΒ on autopilot, and continued to ponder the future of Sadie’s Nest.

I’ve been really busy. We finally bought the camper… The kids have been sick…

I had some great advice. A family member told me that if I enjoy blogging, I should keep doing it until I don’t, if that ever happens.

Many of you were lovingly supportive, my loyal companions.

So I’ve decided to continue my blogging adventure…

Just keep it a little more laid back for the summer.

I rewrote my about page (for the umpteenth time… what am I about anyway?).

Thank you for continuing this journey with me! (And as usual thank you Pinterest for these images.)

  1. Hi Sadie, hope the kiddies are doing better. Sending you and them loads of hugs and love from across the Atlantic. I’m so glad you will have decided to continue blogging. There are times when I feel like stopping too but I think the trick is not to force yourself. When there’s no ideas or when life takes its toll, or even when you’re simply too tired, then take it easy on yourself. Take the day as it comes. Inspiration comes from the most unexpected places sometimes. You’ll be surprised.

And you know what? Taking it easier in the summer doesn’t sound like a bad idea. We are here and we will support you no matter what! x

    1. Yes, the kids are feeling better. You know, once one gets something it usually knocks them all down like dominoes. And thank you Roberta ?

  2. I’m happy to hear that Sadie! I hope your little ones feel better soon! Sicknesses are no fun this time of year πŸ™

  3. Yeah! So glad you’re not going anywhere any time soon! Happy to continue this journey with you.. at whatever pace works best. Hope the kiddos are on the mend and that the start of your summer is a happy one. xo

  4. This makes me happy. This makes me smile. And so long as your blog is not a chore, so long as it makes YOU smile I say long may you ride πŸ™‚

  5. I’m so glad you’re sticking around!! What would I do without your funny and uplifting posts? And I agree, takin’ it easy is the way to go. I’m learning about not putting pressure on myself about posting. If there’s a week where I can’t get to it, that’s alright. Life gets crazy and having that pressure takes all the fun out of it!

  6. Awww, so glad you are sticking around! So, when I first started blogging almost 5 and 1/2 years ago, I posted DAILY for over a month. Then reality hit with my full-time job, daughter’s umpteen extra-curricular activities that I had to drive her around to, that it was not sustainable. So I went to 3x week, and after a few months of that, I went down to 2x a week. I was able to hold that pace until a couple of years ago, and found that once a week suits my schedule fine, and even taking a week off to go camping sometimes has not hurt my readership. The main thing is even if I don’t post, I visit and comment on the blogs I follow who do take the time to post, because I think that is important to recognize. Oops, long comment, lol! I’ll be here to read anything you post whenever, Sadie! xoxo

    1. I love your long comment! And I might be down to once a week before it’s over. But what I really need to work on is readership! When I take time off, it’s all off… And then I stress trying to catch up!

  7. I’m so happy you’re continuing your blogging journey, Sadie … I’m very blessed to be on this journey with you! You are a wonderful friend, inspiration, encourager and you never fail to bring joy to my heart!

    1. Anna, thank you so much for your kind words! All of your comments went to spam?? And I’m so glad I checked because I’ve missed your comments! I love having this journey with you too! πŸ™‚

      1. I’m so glad you found my comments! πŸ˜‰ Wonder what happened? I’ve had similar things happen to me, but have no idea why. Here’s to our journey, sweet friend! πŸ™‚

  8. You’re blog is a delight Sadie! So I am very glad that you will continue!! Here’s to many more restful, beautiful days… πŸ™‚

  9. So glad you will be continuing your blogging journey Sadie. It is especially hard with little ones, I hope they are better now. I think taking a hiatus every so often never hurt, and especially during the summer. Sometimes I hit roadblocks too and can’t keep up with others that post so regularly. But then, I just come back a bit more refreshed. I blog just once a week, and for me that is enough as it also takes time visiting other blogs. Rest, breathe and enjoy the summer!

  10. So happy you’ve decided to keep blogging! And congrats on your beautiful new camper ?

  11. I’m glad you’re going to continue with this blog – I love reading what you have to say about things – this, all in itself, was a lovely blog. I’m glad the kiddos are doing and feeling better and oh, by the way, I picked up some Stroopwaffles this weekend – yummmm, yum!!! I wouldn’t have know about them if you hadn’t mentioned them and how much you love them!! Keep it up! xoxoxo
