Loving Lately: The Rain
Confession: I love the rain.
I love a warm rain that I can walk in.
I love to curl up and drink something warm during a cold rain. On a blustery wet day, I love to build a fire and look out the window.
I love rain so much that I gave it as a middle name to one of my children.
It’s a blessing: “For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater…” Isaiah 55:10
So long for now, I’m going to take a stroll in the rain.
(And I cannot take credit for any of these photos, which you can find on Pinterest.)
Very nice Sadie! 🙂
Thank you Terry ?
I love the rain, too. The sound of rain falling on the roof … I just enjoy it 🙂
Me too! Thanks Claudia ☺️
Love this Sadie! I love how kids appreciate the rain. How they take time to splash in the puddles and get wet. It is wonderful how you see the beauty in the rain….lovely post 😀
Thank you Antonia ? I do love to watch my kids play in the rain! And I have one in particular who goes out of his way to splash in puddles.
They always remind us of what’s important and when to stop and enjoy what’s around you, don’t they?
Yes, they really do. ❤️
You have helped me enjoy the rain from a different perspective. Like when you stop what you’re doing and you say, “listen… I think I hear the rain…” How when it rains at night, and you just went to sleep, and I know you hear the rain, that it’s a little bit of joy for you as you drift off asleep…
Thank you ❤️
Rain, lovely rain! 🙂
☺️
Very well said! I love the rain too, it’s just so calming 🙂
Yes:) I find it very peaceful.
What a perfect day for this post ?
I was inspired! Thank you Annie 🙂
Looks like you’ve inspired a lot of comments from fellow rain lovers–me included. I feel so peaceful inside when it rains. Almost nodded off just reading your post! Loved it.
Thanks Aunt Sue ? I love you!
We don’t get much rain where I live, and don’t mind the occasional rainy day. But when we start getting two or three in a row, I feel like I’m getting cabin fever! But, the world needs people who appreciate rain. Otherwise, who the heck would ever live in a place like Seattle? LOL. (I do love Seattle though, just a little too rainy for me.) 🙂
I can understand that, I like the sunshine too… But I really do enjoy a rainy day! I don’t know, Seattle might be too much for me. It would be fun to find out! Thanks KR ?
Lovely presentation Sadie! I also love the rain!
Thank you Lynn 🙂 I think we have many of the same tastes!
I think so 🙂
Am reading this now as the rain is falling outside… feeling cozy and snug under blankets in bed. Beautiful images and words, Sadie!
Thanks Jean, I love a rainy day! I hope you enjoyed yours!
There’s something so cleansing about the rain. And a springtime rain is so pleasing compared to the dreary stuff we get in November! Lovely pic! 🙂
Thanks Anita! Yes, a natural spring cleaning 🙂
I adore the rain, and the hint of smell in the air just before it rains. It is just amazing.
Have a lovely weekend. 🙂
Yes, I love that smell too! Thanks Lynne 🙂
Such beautiful images of the rain. I guess I need to appreciate it more 🙂
I am also a huuge lover of rains and coming from Kerala, India, where there are only two seasons (Summer and Rainy :D) I am missing it here in midwest US. So adorable that you gave rain as middle name to one of your kids <3 ( Let me also try to convince my hubby for that) 😀 Great post.
Thank you! ? And thank you for visiting!
You are soo welcome 🙂 And the pleasure is tootally mine to have found your wonderful blog <3
